Inclusions and Support:
VA Form Preparation & Submission: Direct, focused assistance to help the Veteran accurately complete all necessary forms required by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for their disability compensation claim.
One Courtesy Administrative Follow-Up: Included within this tier is one (1) proactive administrative follow-up action. This may involve, but is not limited to, checking the initial receipt status of the forms by the VA, or addressing a simple administrative query that arises shortly after the forms' submission. This is a singular, courtesy action and not an ongoing case management service.
Exclusions and Limitations: It is important for the Veteran to note the explicit limitations of the Tier 1 service:
No Document Uploads: This service strictly focuses on the preparation and submission of the online form. The final step of uploading the completed documents to the VA system (e.g., e-Benefits, VA.gov) or physically mailing the forms is the sole responsibility of the Veteran. Mailing of form and supporting documentation is available for an additional service fee.
No Ongoing Case Management: Tier 1 does not include continuous case monitoring, response to VA development letters, complex claims strategy, or any representation beyond the single courtesy follow-up.
No Medical Nexus Development: The service does not involve the review of medical evidence, development of lay statements, or the establishment of a medical nexus (link) between service and the claimed condition(s).
Fee Structure and Payment Terms: Fees for the Tier 1 service are based entirely on the complexity, which is directly correlated to the number of service-connected conditions the Veteran is seeking to claim or increase.
Condition-Based Fees: The final cost is determined by the total number of conditions requiring preparation assistance.
Advance Payment Requirement: Full payment of all Tier 1 service fees is required before work commences. This compensates the firm for specialized administrative preparation work.
